Climbing is a versatile hobby and it is easy to get involved in. People, and especially children are naturally inclined towards climbing. Climbing develops both body and mind, and doing sports in a group setting creates a sense of community and friendship.
Climbing is a very safe sport. There are always two instructors in each group. The group capacity reflects the age of the children. At ages under 10 years, we try to keep the group size under 10. With older children, the groups usually have 12-16 participants.
Our club offers guided climbing for children from the age of 5 to 17 years. At present, there are 20 training groups, training for 90 minute sessions from Monday to Thursday between 4 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. It is also possible to have 2-3 trainings per week.
The youngest (aged 5-9) train on Saturdays at 10.00, 11.00 and 12.00 in 60 minute sessions. There is also a group for the younger ones on Mondays 16.30 and Wednesday 16.30.
If You have a child who would be interested in weekly climbing please contact katri(at)kiipeilyurheilijat.fi or call Katri Kauppala 040 5680522. We will help you in every way and let you know which group would be possible.
Our club is invested in competitive sports. We offer an small group for individuals who are interested in climbing as a competitive sport. The group has a more individualized guidance in goal oriented training. For details, please contact Nora Isomäki (email@example.com)
